I’m planning on moving from a shared server to a ‘Cloud Platform’ in the the hope it will increase the speed of my store.
I’m in the process of purchasing the new server space, and this should be completed relatively quickly.

Thing is I need my entire site moved to the new server, SSL sorted etc etc. Basically everything in order to have the site running 100% on the new server.

We host our website through Media Temple. Our last designer set it up so we could update content ourselves using Wordpress. However, it has some problems. We are told that the shopping cart does not appear to be installed correctly and there is a problem with the creation of new pages, among other issues.

The shopping cart has been modified to act purely as a means for users to add items to their cart and then notify us by email that they are interested in these items (no e-commerce). We call this our ‘Quotation Cart’.

We are looking for somebody to either:

1) fix some bugs we’ve encountered, make some aesthetic changes and help input content for the current site– which requires some knowledge of Wordpress; OR

2) Create an entirely new site that offers the two critical functions that act in the same way as the current sites:
a) Product Gallery and Categories: allows us to update the products, add/remove product categories, ourselves
b) Quotation Cart: allows users to add items to a virtual cart and then emails us notification about which items and quantity they are interested in.

Other than the Product Gallery, the rest of the site does NOT need to be customizable, although obviously it would be nice if we could make changes. My current site has some bugs that needs a fix. The site is designed to showcase the image at full-size when browsing full-screen with 30″ monitors. The site resizes as you resize the browser-window to allow viewing from many different computers.

The flash component used to view the image is Autoviewer Pro from Airtight Interactive (http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/autoviewer/pro/).

The current site has browser compatibility issues currently:

1. In Google Chrome / FF / Safari = at certain browser window size, the whole site does not appear.

2. In IE especially, the image is cropped at the bottom at various different browser window sizes.

3. The menu bar at top (HTML component) must be aligned right above the flash-script. Currently it’s showing at the top of the browser window. When you make the browser window very long and narrow, you will see this very apparently.

1. Resolve Issue: ‘Header’ module conflicted by sh404sef component.
Details: There are 7 header modules in the Module Manager which are
each built for specific pages throughout the site. Before we ‘enabled’
the sf404sef component - all the7 different headers were appearing on the pages they
were assigned to. After we enabled the sf404sef component - the header appointed to
appear on ‘home’ replaced the unique headers on every page throughout the site.

Without disabling the sh404sef component - we need the unique headers to reappear.

2. Set up server so we can create email addresses on the @landmerchants.ca domain
in Cpanel.

3. Create Newsletter Sign Up Module in left column underneath the side navigation on all pages.
YaNC newsletter component is installed but requires configuration. We will provide a dummy newsletter
so we’ve got one in the system that we can test with.

4. Menu functionality FIX required - sub-menus are no longer appearing in the left navigation position of the main menu.

I specifically asked them to use certain components which I had installed and my requests were ignored so I had to take another 2 days to insist they do the job the way I clarified in my project spec. I’m sure there are many talented people at indianelite - I’m just not used to being treated second rate as a buyer.
